 Yes, I watch Oprah from time to time and I love her!

 I'm always looking for an excuse to read, so lets do it together! Next month we will have a LIVE discussion about the book EAT PRAY LOVE by Elizabeth Gilbert. I have already started and it's very good, a story about someone trying to find themselves and proving that it is never too late to do so. It will be so fun :)))

 I like to think I'm cosmically linked to the BEATLES because my dad was born the same day and year as John Lennon and I went to the same high that Yoko Ono and Linda McCartney and I like to look for meaning in just about everything. 

Anyway, I have always been a fan of Yoko Ono for her independent nature and creative talents, so I of course follow her on Twitter and my quote of the day is from her…

Facials are important.

 Of course it took me 25 years to learn that, but now I know. When  i came to LA, I didn't own any makeup, have never worn any,  didn't even wash my face- only used the water in the shower- No, I was not raised in the jungle it just hadn't occur to me, i just assumed everyone looked good and that makeup wasn't a part of it. Living in LA it became perfectly clear to me just how hard everyone was working to look that good. Anyway, one day i look at my face in the mirror and realized it just looked dirty,  so i decided to get a facial and I found Kate Somerville. Over the last year and a half my face has completely changed, it's clean a rejuvenated. I get the DermaLucent Red Light Facial and its amazing. Facials can be expensive, but if it means not eating out for a month its worth it. Her products are great too and they really work, not like a lot of products. Her cleansers and moisturizers are very reasonable as well.

One of my favorite parts of going to a Chinese restaurant is the little fortune inside the fortune cookie you get at the end of the meal. I'm one of those suckers that believes in all the hand reading tarot card stuff... so its very annoying when you open it up and you expect to see something specific that is going to inform my already crazy life- like... by the end of the month you will be rich - your soul mate is sitting across from you - but when you get a blank statements like, " you have an ambitious nature and make your name by it" what's that? Total bullshit- Not a fortune- and the worst is when you are at a table and 3 out of 4 of you get the exact same one. I was under the impression that the fortune cookie makers where intuitive Chinese Zen monks living in a monastery and  could see into the future and knew that each fortune was specifically for a certain person 3000 miles away! At the very least, the fortune cookie corporation needs to come up with better fortunes. Don't you agree?

Cell Phone radiation interferes with bees navigation systems preventing them from finding their way back to their hives. West coast has lost 60% of its bee population and 70% missing on the east coast. The world crops depend on bee pollination. Einstein estimated that  "man would have only four years of life left" if bees were to die off, they are calling this colony collapse disorder.

The researchers fitted cellphones to a hive and activated them for specific lengths of time. After three months of the experiment, honey production ceased, the queen laid half as many eggs, and the hive population dropped. Andrew Goldsworthy a British biologist told CNN that a pigment called cryptochrome, which the bees use for navigation and is compromised by cellphone radiation and affects the insects ability to find their hives.

The solution would be to change cellphone frequency so it wouldn't harm the bees. "It's possible to modify the signal coming from the [cell] phones and the base station in such a way that it doesn't produce the frequencies that disturb the cryptochrome molecules," Goldsworthy said.
